The Z Factor

Can you afford to lose the generation that will define your frontline's future?

Will you join us?

6-Feb 2025  :  Virtual  :   HR and Operations Leaders and their teams

In 2025, Gen Z will make up 27% of the workforce in Europe [World Economic Forum, 2024]. Often seen as a difficult generation to engage, they’re still a crucial part of your talent strategy. And this is especially true within industries like retail and manufacturing where high churn rates mean engaging new talent is crucial in securing future stability, and growth.

The problem is that Gen Z expects more from their workplaces, and too many employers are falling short. The result is absenteeism, higher sick days, and alarmingly low retention rates. And this is an acute issue in retail and manufacturing, where 44% of employees plan to quit within six months and many don’t even show up on their first day [McKinsey, 2024]. The pressure is on for you to adapt or risk losing this core group.

So, what is the secret to engaging Gen Z and supercharging your frontline workforce this year?

1

Purpose

Nearly 9 in 10 Gen Zs (86%) say having a sense of purpose at work is key to their job satisfaction. [Forbes, 2024]

2

Boundaries

Gen Z workers are establishing clearer boundaries.

[New York Post, 2024]

3

Wellbeing

Gen Zs are 224% more likely to experience depression compared to older colleagues.
