Data-Driven Law

Covent Garden Hotel, London

Wednesday 2nd October

18:30 – 21:30 BST

“AI has enormous potential in the legal field, promising to transform how legal practitioners function and individuals access the justice system

– Forbes, 2024

Given its potential to automate work activities that absorb up to 70% of employees’ time [McKinsey, 2024], the opportunity for the legal industry to capitalise on AI is clear. From reduced time spent on non-billable work to cost saving for clients, this technology provides a platform from which firms can thrive.

For 55% of firms however, meaningful adoption of advanced technologies such as AI is held back by a severe lack of data readiness [PWC, 2024]. Stored across multiple mediums, including the cloud and on-prem, it can be near impossible to gain a holistic view of all data. And with emerging tech such as AI only being as good as the data it learns from, firms that are not data-ready will find little value in their investments.

How can legal firms guarantee their data is of sufficient quality, and secure enough to extract the most from these emerging technologies?

OUR SUSTAINABILITY PLEDGE

We’re committed to supporting our society and environment. When you attend a Change Makers Club event, we pledge to neutralise your carbon footprint. To offset your travel or energy usage we will plant a tree via One Tree Planted. Once mature, the average tree has a net absorption of 30 kg of CO2 per year, which equates to 227 miles of travel by car or 96 hours of office usage. You can see our maths here.
